Mercury Outboard Services
Can you service my Mercury Outboard?
Yes we are a Mercury Outboard Certified Service Centre and specialise in servicing Mercury outboards from 2HP to 600HP, including all Mercury 2 stroke, 4 stroke, Optimax, V6, V8 and V10 outboards.
Can you log services for my Mercury warranty reward (3+2 or 3+3 year)?
Yes, we log all relevant services with Mercury Marine through the national Merclink system and can also sign and stamp your logbooks.
Do you have fixe rate services, how much will the service cost?
All our logbook services are charged at a flat labour rate. Parts can vary from job to job depending on the condition of the engine and when certain items were last replaced. If you have any major issues come up we will always contact you and provide an estimate. You are also welcome to drop by our workshop so we can explain things in person and also while looking at your boat. The logbook labour rates and descriptions are shown below. Once you select your engine below you can follow an additional link for typical parts pricing, and indicative lifting rates if you don't have a trailer.
How often should I service my Mercury Outboard?
The short answer is at a minimum interval of every 12 months. Most customers with boats usually kept in the water elect for us to look after all their annual maintenance. We arrange a lift time with The Boat Works, and once lifted we can arrange antifoul and polishing or detail services in tandem with you engine services. If you have a new engine, the schedule for all Mercury and MerCruiser engines in Australia is at 3 months (or 20 hours whichever first), then every 12 months (or 100 hours whichever first) from the original date of sale of the engine.
How long does a Mercury service take?
If your service is for a portable outboard or for your tender or a trailerboat, it may take 1-3 days on average. If your service if for a larger boat with triple Verado outboards which also requires antifoul, allow about 5 days.
Do you offer a trailer for smaller boats?

Do you offer Pre-Purchase or Insurance inspections?

Typically our mobile services are limited to boats that are not able to reach our workshop due to a mechanical issue only.
